Anne Lord-Tomas, D.O., FACOOG, Gynecology and Aesthetics
Hello… I am a Board Certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology and currently provide comprehensive care in the field of Gynecology as well as Cosmetogynecology at U First Surgery & Gynecology in Fort Myers, Florida.
I received my medical degree at Nova Southeastern College of the Health Sciences in Florida. I then completed my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan , an affiliate of Michigan State University. I then became board certified and a fellow in my specialty through the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. After completing my formal training, my husband and I both ran solo practices for 6 years in south Texas, where I served as the Chief of the Ob/Gyn Dept for 2 years. I gained invaluable experience in both my chosen specialty as well as in Aesthetic Medicine. I have a special interest in education and have been a speaker for many venues and audiences ranging from adolescence through menopause. Offering a range of minimally invasive surgical options for women is also an area of strong interest to me.
I am fluent in both Spanish and English. My affiliations with national and local medical associations are many, including the Lee County Medical Society.
I am also the mother of three amazing children, with whom I share all of my heart and much of my challenging schedule!
Upon relocating back to South Florida, I decided to take a leave of absence from medicine for two years after the birth of my daughter in 2007. I have now come full circle. Having benefitted tremendously from this decision, I am returning to practice rejuvenated and determined to make a difference. I am proud to run a solo, private practice in gynecology as well as cosmetogynecology which allows me to spend quality time with each patient in order to make a difference in the southwest Florida community.
